Claim your gateway address
Create a tenant. We auto-generate your unique gateway address.
A tenant is one Airbrx workspace — its own rules, its own cache, its
own analytics. When you create one, the App auto-generates a
memorable three-word slug (something like silent-granite-prism)
and combines it with the system suffix to give you a unique gateway
address. You don't pick the slug, you don't manage DNS, you don't
buy a certificate — the App does it all in a single click.
What a gateway address looks like
The slug is auto-generated and unique to your tenant. The suffix
(.gateway.airbrx.ai) is fixed — Airbrx routes traffic to
that suffix to the Gateway, which looks up your tenant by the slug.
Your BI tools will use the full hostname; your warehouse never sees it.
What you can change
Two pieces of the tenant are yours to set:
- Tenant name — a free-form display name shown in the App. Edit it any time; doesn't affect the gateway address.
-
Custom domain (Pro / Enterprise) — swap the
silent-granite-prism.gateway.airbrx.aisubdomain for your own DNS — e.g.airbrx.your-company.com. Or add additional addresses as aliases. See The Gateway, App, and API for the broader vocabulary.
On Free, the auto-generated slug is the address. Once you've pointed BI tools at the gateway address, the slug stays stable for the life of the tenant — no re-pointing later.
What you should see
Once the tenant is created, the App shows the gateway address in the tenant header — copy it somewhere; step 4 puts it into a BI tool's connection field. The dashboard for the tenant is empty: no traffic yet, no rules, no warehouse connected. Step 3 fixes that.
